VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We offer several ways to get to get involved easily!
Greeting
Our greeters attend one of our Sunday services and give a warm greeting to those entering our doors. If they are guests, we invite them to fill out a guest form, and ask if they would like to wear a name tag. If possible, we find a regular member or friend to accompany them to the sanctuary. It's simple, and you'll meet the most wonderful people!

Singing
The UUTC Choir sings at many services each month. We always welcome new voices, of all ranges and varieties. Rehearsals are minimal, usually four times a month, and offer up a wonderful opportunity to get to know your fellow choir members, learn some fantastic new hymns, and best of all... see many smiling faces in the congregation on Sundays!

Ushering
For each service, we have two ushers, one at each the two entries to our sanctuary. They greet people as they enter, handing them an order of service. During the Offerings portion of the service, they pass the offerings baskets, and after service, count and record the offerings. It is a simple way to contribute to the smooth flow of a service.

Social Coffee
We have a social coffee/tea hour between our two services. Generally, it runs from about 10:15 to 11 am. We always need help in setting up (before the first service at 9:30 am), or cleaning up after the coffee (around 11). And we always enjoy being the recipient of your goodies, whether homemade or not!

Children's Religious Exploration
There are numerous opportunities to serve in our RE program. We invite any interested congregant to share their gifts with young people by taking a turn in the classroom. All of our religious education teachers are volunteers who generously donate their time and talents to support our children and youth.
